of e-Education NPO in Japan. Now e-Education NPO is working around 10 countries. He graduated
from Wasada University at Faculty of Law and moved to Bangladesh after participating in an
internship at Motherhouse Co., Ltd. he worked for JICA in Bangladesh and Japan until 2013.
Now he is working with JICA as a consultant for BOP project. He has worked for Toshin High
school as a teacher, and this experience, aims to make this project a success.
Mahboob Mahmood (Founder and CEO, knowledge platform)
Mahboob is the Founder and Chief Executive Officer of Knowledge Platform. Established in 2000, Knowledge
Platform is a leading Singapore-based learning solutions company. In addition to leading the Knowledge
Platform team, Mahboob plays a central role in the company’s work in designing innovative learning solutions,
including designing learning communities, blended online- offline learning programs, competency frameworks,
adaptive assessments, content architectures, learning games and simulations. Over the past fourteen years,
Mahboob has led a team that has designed over 1,800 courses and learning activities and simulations.
Mahboob has also designed and led training programs and workshops on problem-based learning, asking questions,
learning through story-telling, game-based learning, simulation design, instructional design, e-learning,
designing assessments, large scale content production and blended learning strategies.
Between 2006 and 2011, Mahboob also served as Adjunct Professor of Entrepreneurship and Family Enterprise at
INSEAD, with a particular focus on Social Entrepreneurship. He has written a number of case studies on Asian
businesses in the education, financial services, food services, high tech manufacturing, hospitality, information
technology and transportation sectors. He has also authored a major study on philanthropy in Asia.
Mahboob is also International Counselor to the Institute of International Education. Prior to establishing
Knowledge Platform, Mahboob was a partner at the international law firm of Sidley Austin. Mahboob spent 11
years handling corporate transactions in the firm’s New York office, before establishing the firm’s Singapore
office in 1997 and managing it through its successful start-up period. Mahboob has broad industry experience
and has been lead counsel for many complex transactions in the high-tech, financial services, media, utilities
and transportation sectors. He has worked with major clients in implementing mergers and acquisitions, restructurings,
corporate and project financings in the United States and many countries of Asia and has handled a number of privatization
assignments for The World Bank.
Mahboob has spoken and presented papers on education and training, governance and compliance, social entrepreneurship
and philanthropy, negotiation techniques, acquisitions and restructurings, privatizations and structured finance at
numerous international seminars and conferences.
Mahboob received a J.D. from Columbia University School of Law in 1986, a Diploma in International and Comparative
Law from Columbia University School of Law in 1986, a M.A. in Political Science from The Johns Hopkins University
in 1987, and a B.A. in Politics from Princeton University in 1981. He has been a member of
the New York State bar since 1987.

Mr. Hideki Segawa has extensive experience (more than 32 years) in Ricoh Co. which is very famous Japanese company
as Printer and office solution. In Ricoh, he achieved huge experiences as engineering and planning specially for
new businesses endeavor and new technologies. During his service at Ricoh, he proposed and launched many new businesses.
In addition to that, Mr. Hideki was engineer of Optical Disk and Delegate member from Japan in ISO to set International
Standard. He also worked at world famous Silicon Valley-USA. In Silicon Valley, he acted as CVC (Corporate Venture Capital)
to invest venture. Since that, he is one of the Venture Capitalist in Silicon Valley. However, he successfully carried out
his duties and responsibilities as General Manager in various companies such as The Technology Planning, The New Business
Development Division, and The Future Technology Development Center. Furthermore, he was leader of BOP project
(BOP: Base of the Pyramid, Poverty Area in the World) in Bihar States; India.
Since 2014, after leaving Ricoh, he is providing Consultation Service to entrepreneurs by mentoring how to
make business plan. For example; he already gave lecture about new business creation at JSOU
(Japan Somaliland Open University) through Internet and deeply Mentored to the scientists and the engineers to
blush up their business plan at Tokyo University as program of Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry(METI)
and Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology(MEXT).
One of his strengths is to draw illustration and cartoon which is useful to visualize the concept
